THE STAR FESTIVAL CHEZ ALBERT WHITMAN & CO !

Voici quelques extraits de mes illustrations pour le livre The Star Festival qui sortira au printemps chez Albert Whitman & Co. éditions à Chicago !

Une histoire touchante de Keiko et sa grand-mère à travers une journée du festival des étoiles au Japon, écrit par Moni Ritchie Hadley.

Je suis si heureuse de partager cette histoire de relation tendre de grand-parent et petit enfant.

Ce sont également mes premières illustrations pour un livre en anglais !

J’ai eu grand plaisir à illustrer l’histoire en fouillant dans mes souvenirs d’enfance au Japon et de me rappeler des petits détails oubliés.

Here are some details from “The Star Festival” which will be published this spring at Albert Whitman & Co at Chicago ! A lovely story of Keiko and her grandmother which takes place in Japan in the day of Tanabata matsuri (the star festival) written by Moni Ritchie Hadley !

It is also my first illustrations for a book in English !

I’ve fond myself enjoying so much to look into my childhood memories in Japan and to bring them to illustrations. I was also writing about my grandma at the moment I received the story and I was so happy to share this grandma-grandchildren story by illustration.
